Ella - Staffordshire Bull Terrier Dog for Adoption in Defiance, Ohio

Meet Miss Ella.

Ella is a 6.5-year-old Staffy mix who knows what it means to be deeply loved. She was adopted from FDHS in June of 2021 and spent the next few years living the life every dog deserves. She had plenty of room to run, lots of cuddles, home-cooked meals, and a family who treated her like literal royalty.

Unfortunately, life circumstances changed, and Ella has found herself back at FDHS looking for a new beginning. Ella is an incredibly well-mannered dog in a home and is an absolute joy to have around. She is affectionate, loves attention, and is sweet with everyone she meets. She enjoys spending time with her people and would happily soak up as much attention as she can get.

Ella does have significant separation anxiety, so her ideal home will be one where she can spend very little time alone. She can also be reactive toward other animals and would likely be happiest as the only pet in the home. She does pull a bit on leash, but once she has access to a fenced yard, she does wonderfully and is happy to stretch her legs and enjoy some freedom.

Ella has already experienced what it feels like to have a family of her own, and we know how much she misses that feeling. She deserves a home that understands her needs, appreciates her wonderfully affectionate nature, and is ready to give her the happily ever after she is looking for.

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a muscular, agile dog known for its loyalty and affection towards its family. With a friendly and courageous nature, this breed makes an excellent companion and is great with children. Their distinctive physical features include a broad head, strong jaws, and a short coat that comes in various colors. Despite their tough appearance, Staffordshire Bull Terriers thrive on human interaction and require consistent training and socialization to develop into well rounded pets.
