Marley - Spitz Dog for Adoption in New York, New York

Meet Cookie | Apply Here

Marley was found in a miserable condition, abandoned in a dark corner outside a restaurant in Gwangju. He was left with nothing but spoiled food to eat, and his coat was so severely matted that he could barely see through the tangled fur. Sadly, while the friend he was rescued with has already been adopted into a loving home, Marley is still waiting at our center for his own special someone.
Despite his heartbreaking past, Marley has transformed into the most charming boy. His most adorable feature is his delightfully short legs, which make him look incredibly cute just walking around!
What's even more beautiful is that, despite being neglected for so long, Marley absolutely melts for the gentle touch of a human hand. The moment you reach out to pet him, he leans in with pure joy and trust. Though he is left behind at the center after saying goodbye to his rescued friend, he never loses hope and showers everyone with affection.
Instead of that cold, neglected corner, Marley deserves to spend the rest of his days curled up on a warm, cozy bed, showered with love. We are looking for a forever family who will match Marley's short steps and walk with him forever.

You don't have to wait for an adoption event. In-person meet-and-greets are available in the NYC area, with virtual meet-and-greets available for adopters outside NYC.

The spitz dog breed is a diverse group characterized by their wolf-like appearance, pointed ears, and fluffy double coat. Originating from various regions such as Japan, Germany, and the Arctic, spitz dogs are known for their intelligence, independence, and loyalty. They come in a range of sizes, from the small Pomeranian to the large Samoyed, but all share a common alert and lively temperament.
