Meet Poppy!

Poppy’s story didn’t start the way any puppy’s should, but thankfully, her story is changing.

At just 12–13 weeks old, Poppy arrived at the shelter with severe, painful burns covering her back. We may never know exactly what happened to her, but we do know that she deserved so much better.

Blues City Animal Rescue stepped in and gave Poppy the second chance she desperately needed. Today, she is healing beautifully in a loving foster home, surrounded by the care and kindness she should have always known.

And Poppy is showing everyone just how much life she has left to live!

This little girl is spunky, playful, and full of puppy personality. She absolutely LOVES doing zoomies around the yard and then soaking up all the love she can get.

Despite everything she has been through, Poppy has never lost her ability to trust, love, and enjoy life. Watching her discover what it means to simply be a happy puppy is incredibly special.

A few key notes about our Rescue...
1. All of our pets start their journey in Memphis Tennessee.
2. No monies exchange hands until the pet has arrived
3. Once adopted, our pets can be transported to Denver, Colorado, the Midwest and all of the north eastern states.
4. We have a Facebook page and an Instagram page. You are welcome to visit to see some of our newly adoptive families.
5. We have been rescuing and transporting pets for 15 years.
Our pets do not travel until they have been adopted. We do not have holding facilities in other parts of the United States for meet and greet purposes.

With origins dating back to the 14th century, Spaniels come in various types such as the Cocker Spaniel, Springer Spaniel, and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. These dogs excel in both the field and as loving family companions, showcasing their adaptability, loyalty, and energetic nature. Spaniels require regular exercise and grooming to maintain their silky coats and overall well-being, making them popular choices for active individuals and families seeking a devoted canine friend.
