Bale had been living as a stray for approximately a year and a half, staying in the same area and avoiding people. He wouldn’t allow himself to be approached or handled, and for a long time, he simply kept his distance from everyone.

In just 11 days at the shelter, Bale has already come such a long way. He has received flea and tick prevention, dewormer, a microchip, vaccines, and yesterday he was neutered and received his rabies vaccine!

But the biggest change has been watching Bale learn to trust people. He now allows us to pet him, seeks out attention, and jumps around his kennel every morning because he is so excited to see us. Watching him realize that people can be kind has been incredibly rewarding.

Bale is proof that sometimes all a dog needs is a little patience, consistency, and someone willing to give them a chance. We are so proud of how far he has come in such a short amount of time, and we cannot wait to see what his future holds!
