Meet Prince Charming, the ridiculously handsome 11-month-old saddleback Shepsky who looks like he was assembled in a lab by someone who said, “Make him gorgeous, goofy, smart, sweet, and just a little extra.”
And honestly? They nailed it.
Prince Charming is a young, happy, dog-friendly boy who loves people, rides great in the car, and has already earned his official pup-cup certification. He is goofy, affectionate, eager to learn, and extremely intelligent. He picks up direction quickly and wants to be part of whatever his people are doing.
He is currently about 65 lbs, and because Shepskys can continue growing until around age two and fill out into year three, his adopter should be prepared for a big, sturdy, full-size best friend with premium couch-snuggling square footage requirements.
Prince Charming is still a puppy at heart, so he will need what every smart young working-breed mix needs: structure, consistency, decompression, basic obedience, and humans who understand that brilliant dogs become incredible dogs when they are given clear guidance and love.
He is not a pre-programmed robot dog.
He is a young, intelligent, social boy with a huge heart, a big personality, and unlimited potential.
What We Love About Prince Charming
Prince Charming is:
Dog-friendly
People-loving
Goofy and affectionate
Very smart
Eager to learn
Great in the car
Pup-cup approved
Young, social, and sweet
A gorgeous saddleback Shepsky
Likely to be a big boy when fully mature
Best Fit
Prince Charming could fit beautifully into many different homes with the right structure and decompression. He may do well with an active individual, couple, or family who wants a loyal adventure buddy, a smart training partner, and a professional snuggle supervisor.
He would likely enjoy another friendly dog in the home with proper slow introductions.
Because he has not been cat tested, we are not placing him as cat-friendly at this time. HOWEVER, he is still young enough to be trained to be cat friendly.
Adoption Notes
Prince Charming will need continued leash work and basic obedience, which is completely normal for an 11-month-old Shepsky. He is smart, eager, and responsive, so with consistency and positive leadership, this boy has all the makings of an absolutely incredible companion.
He deserves a home that understands young northern-breed/working-breed energy and is ready to help him become the best version of himself.
Someone is going to get an unbelievably special dog: handsome, sweet, goofy, smart, dog-friendly, and ready to build a life with his humans.
Could that be you?
