Dak is a handsome 3-year-old boy with a calm, gentle personality and just the right amount of playful energy. While he may seem a little reserved at first, once he feels comfortable, his goofy, loving side starts to shine. Hes the kind of dog who enjoys peaceful mornings, soaking up pets and affection, especially when you encourage him to be the center of attention.

Dak is a wonderful house guest. Hes fully house-trained, knows how to let you know when he needs to go outside, and has been an absolute gentleman when left home alone. He has adjusted beautifully to apartment living, but he would also love a home with a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs, play, and relax in the sunshine.

His favorite toy? A tennis ball! Whether its a game of fetch in the yard or a stroll through the neighborhood, Dak is happiest spending time with his people. He also enjoys hikes when the weather is nice and cool.

Dak currently lives with two cats and has done remarkably well. While he occasionally gets curious and may give chase, he respects their boundaries and quickly backs off when they let him know theyve had enough. His foster rarely has to intervene.

Hes also wonderful with people and children, making him an easy companion for many different types of families. His sweet, easygoing nature makes him a joy to have around.

Daks story began with heartbreak. He was found abandoned in a hotel room alongside a cat after his owner was unexpectedly hospitalized. They were left alone for several days before being rescued. Despite everything hes been through, Dak has remained incredibly loving and trusting, and now hes simply waiting for someone who will never leave him behind again.
