Meet Koda Blue!

Koda Blue is a beautiful 2-year-old Husky with one of the sweetest, gentlest personalities you could ever hope to meet.

Koda spent more than six months in the shelter after being surrendered by her family. Despite everything she had been through, she never lost her happy spirit. In fact, Koda became one of the shelter’s trusted “dog testers” — the dog they relied on to help meet, welcome, and evaluate new dogs because she was so calm, friendly, and predictable.

Unfortunately, after months of waiting for a family, Koda was placed on the euthanasia list. Thankfully, a volunteer stepped in, and this incredible girl was given the second chance she deserved.

Now Koda is thriving in foster care and ready to finally find a forever home of her own.

Koda is incredibly affectionate and loves being close to her people. She is the kind of dog who is just as happy going on an adventure as she is curled up beside you on the couch watching TV. She loves car rides, camping, hiking, cuddling, and simply being included.

She also gets along wonderfully with other dogs and makes friends easily. She would be a great fit for a home with another friendly dog, although she would also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention herself.

Koda is not a good fit for a home with cats. She can also be a little overwhelmed by the noise and unpredictability of very young children, so a home with older kids would be best.

After spending so long waiting for someone to choose her, Koda Blue deserves a family who will make her part of everything — adventures, lazy Sundays, road trips, couch cuddles, and all the little moments in between. She has spent enough time waiting. Now she is ready to go home!
