Meet Mayla: 14 Pounds of Love & Pillow-Hogging Perfection!
Looking for a sweet, quiet companion who loves everyone and believes the best place in the house is wherever the pillows are? Meet Mayla!
Kids? Friends! Cats? Friends! Other dogs? Also friends! Mayla is a gentle, easygoing girl who loves making new friends—but she's equally happy giving you space when needed. She's basically the roommate everyone dreams of having!
This low-energy 4 year old gal enjoys snoozing on the back of the couch, claiming a pile of pillows, and taking leisurely walks around the block. She's quiet enough for apartment living, fantastic in her crate, and mostly housebroken. Frequent potty breaks help, and short walks keep her focused when it's time to do her business.
Mayla does have some special medical needs. She has chronic dry eye and a previous eye procedure that requires ongoing monitoring. She currently receives three eye medications twice daily, and she takes them like an absolute CHAMP! She also has skin allergies that have improved tremendously but will require continued monitoring, a prescription diet, daily medication, and occasional medicated baths.
She loves ALL food and treats, but her allergies mean her menu needs a little extra consideration. No sharing your snacks without checking first!
Mayla is a wonderful girl who doesn't ask for much: a cozy spot to nap, a little stroll, a predictable routine, and someone willing to keep up with her medical care. In return, you'll get a gentle, loving companion who's happy just being near you.
Could Mayla be your perfect match? She's ready to find her forever couch—and, more importantly, her forever family!

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.
