Mr. Muffin - Shih Tzu Dog for Adoption in Windsor, Ontario

Requirements:
-Mr. Muffin must have another compatible dog in his home similar in size
-If there are children in the home, they must be at least 14 years old and respectful of a dog's boundaries
-Mr. Muffin's home can be a condo/townhouse, apartment, or detached home

Pup-sonality:
Sweet, gentle, and full of love, Mr. Muffin is looking for a forever home where he can be your loyal little companion. This charming boy loves to snuggle, enjoys spending time with his people, and is always happy to curl up for a cozy nap after a day of play.

Mr. Muffin gets along wonderfully with other small dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. He walks nicely on leash, loves going for car rides, and is happiest when he can be outside with his family on a beautiful day. Around new people, he's a little shy at first and prefers to stay close to those he knows, but once he feels comfortable, his sweet personality shines through.

One of Mr. Muffin's cutest habits is standing up on his hind legs and waving his little front paws whenever he'd like a treat, some attention, or a little extra love; it's impossible not to smile!

He's also still working on his house training. He occasionally marks indoors and prefers using a pee pad if the weather is cold or rainy rather than venturing outside. With consistency and patience, he'll continue making progress.

He's an easygoing boy who enjoys being groomed, doesn't mind having his mouth or paws handled, happily shares his toys, and responds well when asked to move off the furniture. While he's not a fan of being picked up and may have a little piddle accident if lifted, he's otherwise affectionate and loves sleeping in bed with his people and canine companions. Mr. Muffin, in his past, was mistreated by the humans that he trusted which is why he may piddle or be upset by being picked up. For this reason, his home cannot have small children that may pick him up to express affection as it will upset him and cause unnecesary stress for him.

Mr. Muffin is a quiet little guy who only barks when he hears an unfamiliar sound and settles quickly with reassurance. He would likely do well with a family who understands that he may need a little time to build confidence with new people.

Medical Note: Mr. Muffin is currently receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

Mr. Muffin has chronic dry eye and must receive twice daily eye drops for the rest of his life.
