Meet Virginia Blue Belle aka Belle!

Belle is a 10 pound, 2-3 year old small mixed breed dog. We believe she is part havanese and part shih tzu. She comes to us from a hoarding case. She is very sweet. She prefers people to dogs. She likes other dogs but does not engage with them or with toys. She was spayed on Wednesday, Sept 16 and is recovering without issues. She is very nervous but seeks attentions and love from her foster family. We feel certain she had never left her previous home.

She loves following her foster mom around the house. She is progressing nicely with her house manners and leash walking. She is crate trained for sleep.

Belle will need a quiet, patient home. She will need time to settle in and learn she is safe. She would benefit from training to build her confidence. She does like treats!! Preference will be given to adopters who are home during the day.

This little girl has been through a lot and we want her to blossom.
