Nico is a 1-year-old Shih Tzu mix, about 12 pounds.

He was surrendered to the shelter in heartbreaking condition — severely matted, neglected, and clearly not cared for. It seems he was once someone’s “cute little dog,” but when the responsibility became real, he was simply given up.

And yet, none of that changed who Nico is.

He is an absolutely wonderful little dog — sweet, gentle, playful, and very affectionate.
He loves being around people, enjoys attention, and has a warm, trusting personality despite everything he’s been through.

He is slightly underweight right now, but with proper care and love, he will gain it back quickly and thrive.

Nico is the kind of dog who quietly becomes someone’s whole heart — loyal, loving, and always happy to be by your side.

He deserves a family who will truly care for him, and in return, he will give nothing but love.
