Meet Polly Pocket — Tiny Girl, BIG Personality!

They say the best things come in small packages, and Miss Polly Pocket is living proof!

Polly’s story didn’t have the easiest beginning. When she first came into our program, she weighed just ONE tiny pound. She was sick, fragile, and her future was uncertain. But Polly had something special on her side, a foster who poured countless hours, sleepless nights, and plenty of worry into nursing this little girl back to health.

And boy, did Polly have plans for her second chance at life!

Born around July 10th, Polly is believed to be a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix and currently weighs a whopping 4.5 pounds! Don’t let that teeny little body fool you, though. This girl is FIERCE!

Polly is a full-blown wild child in the funniest, most entertaining way possible. She’s feisty, fearless, and absolutely convinced she’s ten feet tall. She LOVES romping around with other dogs, chewing on her favorite rubbery toys, and keeping everyone around her thoroughly entertained. Her larger-than-life personality has made her a favorite of just about everyone she meets!

But underneath all that sass is a seriously sweet little baby. When Polly finally runs out of steam, there’s nowhere she’d rather be than curled up in your lap. Sometimes she’ll even climb up onto your chest or shoulder to snuggle in as close as humanly possible.

* Keeps her puppy pen clean overnight.
* Doing well with potty training when she’s closely supervised and taken outside regularly.
* Equal parts tiny tornado and snuggly sweetheart!

Let’s talk about those luscious locks! Polly’s soft, fluffy coat is adorable, but it also tangles very easily! Her new family will need to start her on a consistent grooming routine right away, including regular brushing at home and professional grooming appointments. Getting her comfortable with grooming while she’s young will be important, and keeping her coat healthy and mat-free will be a lifelong commitment!

Polly may be little, but she is ALL puppy! Her forever family should be ready for the energy, mischief, training, grooming, and hilarious antics that come with raising a spunky little girl who doesn’t know the meaning of the word small.

After such a tough beginning, watching Polly blossom into this happy, healthy, fearless little firecracker has been such a joy. Now it’s time for her next chapter — finding a family who will love her every bit as fiercely as she loves life.

IMPORTANT: We will not begin processing applications for Polly Pocket until Wednesday, October 28th. Applications may be submitted before then, but they will not be reviewed until Wednesday.
