Meet Coco!
Coco is an adorable 1 to 3 year-old, 11 lb Shih Tzu who is ready to find a loving forever home!
Coco was found tied to a tree, and when his previous owners were asked if they wanted to surrender him, they agreed. We immediately welcomed him into our rescue and made sure he received the veterinary care he needed.
Sadly, Coco arrived matted, dirty, and neglected. During his grooming, we noticed that one of his eyes looked hazy. Our vet examined him and determined that he has an ulcer on his right eye that appears to be healing. She believes his matted hair around his eyes caused the ulcer. He is currently receiving treatment, and we are keeping a close eye on his progress.
Coco also had a small umbilical hernia, which was repaired at the time of his neuter. Despite everything he has been through, Coco is a sweet, affectionate little guy who absolutely loves attention! He loves being hugged, kissed, and showered with affection. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and even cats!
