About Peggy Anne’s Breed:
Our best guess is that Peggy Anne is a Shih Tzu breed. Shih Tzus are affectionate, people oriented little companion dogs known for their sweet nature, soft coats, and calm, easygoing personalities. They were bred to be lap dogs, and most Shih Tzus adore relaxing close to their humans, enjoying gentle play, and soaking up attention. They’re typically friendly, adaptable, and thrive in homes where they can feel secure, loved, and part of the daily routine.
Their ideal home is one that offers consistent companionship, a calm environment, and steady routines. Shih Tzus do wonderfully with families who enjoy cuddles, short walks, and quiet time together. They’re well suited for adults, seniors, or families with respectful children, and they flourish when given patient guidance, positive training, and regular grooming to keep their beautiful coats healthy. With love and stability, Shih Tzus become incredibly devoted, gentle companions.
What to Love about Peggy Anne:
Peggy Anne adores people, loves being the center of attention, and will happily follow you from room to room like the world’s cutest little shadow. She is smart, nimble, athletic, and famously tenacious — she can hop like a rabbit, climb out of playpens, and jump onto beds with zero assistance! She’s a playful, enthusiastic girl who loves fetch, chew sticks, treats, and greeting her favorite humans with joyful energy (including the occasional excited ankle nips, which will need continued positive training).
Peggy Anne is a good eater and a loving companion, but her potty training still needs additional work. She’ll go outside when taken out, but she also has accidents indoors. With patience, consistency, and a solid routine, she’ll make great progress! She prefers sleeping in bed at the foot of her person and does not enjoy overnight crate time — she wants to be close to her humans and thrives with companionship.
She’s wonderful with gentle, school aged kids and loves meeting new people. While she doesn’t currently live with other pets, she’s friendly with dogs and enjoys playing with doggie friends after slow introductions. She hasn’t met cats yet but is open to a meet and greet. Peggy Anne is great on leash, loves her walks, and is curious and social with dogs she meets along the way. After playtime, she’ll flop down like a little frog and soak up all the love she can get!
Peggy Anne is an affectionate, spirited, people loving pup who would thrive in a home ready to embrace her sweetness, her silliness, and her big personality — and help her continue learning to be the “goodest girl” she’s meant to be!
