At 4 years old and 11 pounds, Ziggy is a happy little Shih Tzu with a big heart and an even bigger appreciation for the good life.

Ziggy's story didn't start out easy. He was rescued from a hoarding situation in Puerto Rico, where he lived among far too many animals with very little individual care or attention. Despite that difficult beginning, Ziggy has proven to be incredibly resilient and trusting.

Today, Ziggy is thriving in foster care in New Jersey and is ready to find a family of his very own.

This handsome little guy is fully vetted, neutered, vaccinated, and potty trained. He has wonderful house manners and gets along beautifully with everyone he meets. Ziggy loves other dogs, does great with cats, and is gentle and friendly with children. His easygoing personality makes him a wonderful fit for almost any home.

Ziggy is the perfect blend of companion and cuddle buddy. He enjoys spending time with his people, relaxing around the house, and soaking up all the love and attention he missed out on earlier in life.
