Holly - Shih Tzu Dog for Adoption in Bloomington, New York

Say hello to Holly, a sweet little girl who is about,1 year old, and weighs just 8 pounds. She was reportedly sold as a purebred Shih Tzu for $500, but we're going to call her what she really is, a completely adorable Shih Tzu mix!
Sadly, Holly was surrendered to a shelter for a very disappointing reason, but those days are behind her. She's now looking for the forever family she truly deserves.
Holly is pee pad trained and only uses them when her foster mom is at work. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and was an instant favorite at doggy daycare. She was also a perfect passenger during transport and absolutely adored Kya!
One thing Holly had never experienced was proper grooming. She had never been brushed or groomed, so her coat was severely matted, and we had no choice but to shave her down. We've included before-and-after photos so you can see just how beautiful this little girl is!
Holly's wish list:
A securely fenced yard
Possibly a canine companion to play with
A family committed to regular grooming so she always feels comfortable and looks her best
A loving home that understands she's still a puppy and will continue working with her on leash training and continue housebreaking.
Remember, Holly is only about a year old. Bringing her into your family is a 15 - 17 year commitment, so please be sure you're ready to provide a lifetime of love and care.

Also, if your current or previous pets have not received proper veterinary care including year-round heartworm prevention please do not apply.
