Say hello to Mercury, a sweet boy who is looking for someone willing to show him just how wonderful life can be! Mercury is a 1-year-old Shiba Inu, Pit Bull, and Chihuahua mix, weighing in at 24 pounds. He is fully grown and ready to find a patient, loving family to call his own.

Mercury is a very timid little guy who is still learning to feel comfortable in the world around him. New places and unfamiliar situations can be overwhelming, but he is slowly starting to warm up to our staff. With time, patience, and gentle encouragement, we hope to see more of his sweet personality shine through.

This handsome boy is not yet potty trained, so his future family should be prepared to spend time working with him on house training. He will need consistency, understanding, and someone who is willing to celebrate his little victories along the way.

A fenced-in yard is not required, but because Mercury is still very unsure of his surroundings, it is important that his new family has a safe, secure environment where he cannot easily run away or escape. A family who understands his timid nature and can provide a secure space for him to build confidence would be ideal.

Mercury may need a little extra time to feel safe, but every step forward is worth celebrating. He deserves someone who will be patient with him, respect his boundaries, and help him discover the joys of being loved.
