DESCRIPTION
Akina is the ultimate little sidekick! While she is still warming up to her new life, she is an absolute doll who is perfectly content following her people around or quietly looking out the window from a sunny spot. This polite and curious girl is doing great with potty training and does wonderfully with other dogs. She generally walks well on a leash-aside from being a little skittish at times-and can be a bit of a picky eater while she figures out her favorite foods. Akina is a gentle, sun-loving shadow who will only continue to blossom and open up more with a patient family of her own! Akina is staying in a foster home, so email into@tailshumanesociety.org if you would like to scheduled a time to meet her.
ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Shiba Inu is a small to medium sized dog breed known for its fox like appearance, with a curled tail and upright ears. Originating from Japan, Shiba Inus are independent, alert, and spirited dogs. They are loyal to their families but can be reserved around strangers. Recognized for their bold and confident nature, Shiba Inus require consistent training and socialization to thrive. With a thick double coat and a distinct red, sesame, or black and tan coloration, Shiba Inus are charming companions for active individuals or families.
