DESCRIPTION

My name is Tortellini and Im looking for my forever home. Im still a puppy I turn 1 y.o. in October and Im a little girl, currently 15 lbs. According to my DNA test, Im 56% Shiba and 33% Australian Cattle Dog. I came to my foster home here in Quincy, IL, after being abandoned. I was just trying to survive, but the property owner was threatening to shoot me, so Im grateful that SIRA came to get me! I was scared and uncertain at first, but Ive settled in and am feeling much more relaxed. I love the affection and attention that I get from my foster family. The chew toys here are great and have fun unstuffing all of the soft toys. Im also learning to walk on a leash. Foster mom says Im doing well and with some more practice, Ill be a pro. Im a good girl in the house with no potty accidents. And I even le foster mom trim my nails without a fuss. Im not a fan of being in my kennel, though. There are other dogs here in my foster home and I like to play and wrestle with them. At first, I was protective of my food, but once I figured out that theres plenty for all of us dogs, Im not as worried now. I havent met any cats here, but I love to hunt and chase critters in the yard, so foster mom thinks Im mot a good match for small pets. I can be shy and cautious around strangers at first and loud noises spook me. I havent been exposed to really little kids, but Im warming up to the teenagers here in my foster home. Im a healthy girl, spayed and vaccinated. My perfect forever home will have a securely fenced yard for me to play in. Foster mom thinks Ill do best in a home without shared walls. If you live in the Midwest and want to be my forever home, visit www.savingshibas.com/adopt for more information and to apply to become an approved SIRA adopter. The application process helps SIRA make sure well be a good match. Once approved, theyll introduce you to my foster mom so we can meet!
