DESCRIPTION

My name is Anna and I’m looking for my forever home! I’m 4 y.o. and a tiny girl, weighing just 15 lbs. I came to my foster home here in Monroe, WI, after my owner could no longer care for me. It was a scary change for me, but I’m getting used to things here and showing my silly and playful side. I’m happiest here when I’m running around with the other dogs in the fenced yard here in my foster home. I’ll chase my tail and play peek-a-boo with my foster dad. When I want to play, I’ll give them my best play bow and I get so excited when the humans play bow back at me! I love to chase (and catch) critters in the yard too. I’m super-fast and have caught 3 birds so far (so foster mom says that I am probably not a good match if you have cats or small pets)! I’m a good girl in the house. I’ve never had a single potty accident! When my foster family leaves the house, I snooze in my kennel without any fuss. I can be a picky eater, but foster mom has learned what I can’t resist. I’m very attentive and my ears are constantly moving like little radar dishes to listen to every sound. I’m fast, but easy to handle – I let my foster parents pick me up and pet me. I’m learning about going for leash walks too. Foster mom says that I’m well-behaved, but gosh, there are so many unexpected noises that spook me! I’m still pretty scared of meeting new people – especially little kids! There’s just something about their unfamiliar noises and movements that terrifies me. Because of this, my perfect forever home will not have small kids. No cats or small pets, since I have a high prey drive. I’d prefer a quieter home and will need a securely fenced yard and another friendly resident dog to help show me the ropes and learn to feel safe and confident. Experience with shy, fearful dogs is a plus. I’m a healthy girl – spayed and vaccinated. If you live in the Midwest and are interested in giving me a forever home of my very own, visit www.savingshibas.com/adopt for more information and to apply to become an approved SIRA adopter. The application process helps SIRA learn more about you and your home environment so they can make sure we’ll be a good match. Once approved, they’ll connect you with my foster mom so we can meet!
