Meet Redford!

Redford is one of those puppies who is almost impossible to look at without falling completely in love. This handsome boy is being saved by our Northern rescue partners before the cold weather sets in, and he’ll soon be coming into our care where he’ll finally have the chance to grow up safe, warm, and loved.

Redford is still a puppy, which means he’s ready to learn all about the world — and he’ll need a family who is ready to show him the ropes. His new home should be prepared for all the fun (and occasional chaos!) that comes with puppyhood, including training, socialization, potty training, teething, and learning what is and isn’t a chew toy.

But with the right guidance, patience, and plenty of love, this boy has every opportunity to grow into an incredible companion. He’s at the perfect age to start learning, exploring, and building confidence with his family by his side.

Most importantly, Redford deserves a home that understands that raising a puppy is a commitment. He’ll need consistency, structure, exercise, enrichment, and lots of positive reinforcement as he grows. In return, you’ll get to watch him discover the world, learn new things, and become the amazing dog he’s meant to be.

For now, Redford is just a handsome little guy ready to steal hearts — and we have a feeling he’s going to do exactly that.

He’s being given a chance because our Northern rescue partners stepped in before winter could take that chance away. Now we’re looking for the family who will take over where they left off and give Redford the safe, happy, forever home he deserves.

In addition to their remarkable abilities, shepherds are often characterized by their distinctive appearance, including a sturdy build, alert expression, and a signature double coat that provides insulation and protection in various climates.
