Meet Clyde! This handsome 9-month-old Shepherd mix weighs about 32 pounds, and he's one of those dogs who is just beginning to discover how much fun life can be.

Clyde can be a little shy and tentative when he first meets new people or finds himself in a new situation, but he is already becoming much more relaxed. Everything seems brand new to this sweet boy, and he is curious about the world around him. He desperately wants to play and has all the fun, goofy energy of a puppy—just in an older puppy body!

Once he gets comfortable, Clyde can zoom around and have some fun before happily flopping down beside you for a well-earned rest. He takes treats very gently and has no fear aggression at all. He also doesn't mind the comings and goings of a busy household and settles beautifully when left alone. He's been a very good boy!

And Clyde absolutely LOVES other dogs! He is great with canine friends and really enjoys their company. A friendly, playful dog would be a wonderful companion for him and may even help bring out his confidence even more. He is also great with children.

Clyde is working on his house training and will continue to benefit from consistency and patience as he learns all the routines of being a house dog.

When Clyde arrived, he had an old injury to his eye that had already healed. His eye looks a little different because of it, but it has never affected him or stopped him from enjoying life.

As Clyde continues to settle in, we can already see his personality shining through. He may start out a little unsure, but we don't think that shy boy is going to stick around forever! With a little time, encouragement, and a whole lot of love, we think Clyde is going to blossom into an amazing companion.

And just wait until he fills out! Once he puts on some weight, he is going to be one impressive-looking Shepherd, with all the alertness, loyalty, and wonderful qualities we love about the breed.
