Fennec - Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Wake Forest, North Carolina

**AVAILABLE STARTING FRIDAY 10/9**

Introducing Fennec, a smart, confident 3-month-old Shepherd mix whose sandy cream coat had us thinking of a little fennec fox the moment we met him! Fennec is curious about everything and always wants to be part of the action. In true shepherd fashion, he likes to keep an eye on where his people are and follows along to see what you're up to. He also warms up to new people quickly. He loves to play fetch with his squeaky tennis ball, romp around the yard, and pounce on anything that moves. He also has a great nose and loves to sniff out what's going on. Fennec is a quick learner, and you can tell he feels proud of himself when he gets something right! He's very food motivated, which is great for training. He's making great progress on potty training, and has done a wonderful job using his pee pad when in his ex-pen. Fennec loves his toys, but his very favorite playthings are your hands and feet, especially when he's tired. He'll benefit from continued practice with gentle play and being redirected to a chew toy. Sometimes he benefits from quiet time in his own space. Still not sure about his crate, but has been a superstar in his pen with crate inside. We didn't have the chance to introduce him to other animals or small children while he was in foster. Fennec will thrive in a home with puppy experience, and a predictable schedule, where he can keep learning and showing off how smart he is.
