Hi there! My name is Violet and my foster mom says that I am the sweetest, silliest, and most playful little girl. I am a 30 pound, one-year-old Shepherd mix and I definitely have lots of puppy energy! I would do well in a home with another younger dog to play with or a family that is very active to keep me engaged and moving. I get along well with my foster dog sister who is 13, but I would really like a dog sibling that is closer to my age and energy level.
I absolutely love my foster mom and my teen human foster siblings. I am a big snuggle bug and want to be as close to my humans as much as possible. I also want to sleep with my humans. I am not a fan of being crated. I am thriving with a set routine and this helps me to use the bathroom outside. I am so smart that I already show my foster mom when I need to go outside to potty.
I like to go on walks and play fetch in the backyard. I prefer women, but I warm up to men when I know I can trust them (treats and praise help with that). I am best suited for a family that has older kids or teens. I tend to bark at younger kids. I have a low prey drive. I do bark to protect my humans and when I hear other dogs barking. I can be left alone but I will get into things since I am still a curious puppy that likes to chew on stuff. Puppy proofing is a must!
If you are looking for a playful and loving new best friend, I am the girl for you! Everyone falls in love with me as soon as they meet me and I bet you will too! Arrange to meet me today! To complete an adoption application, go to: http://almosthomeanimals.org/applications/adoption/
