Meet Denzie

Denzie is ready to find his forever home.
This handsome boy is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves being close to his people. He has wonderful manners, a gentle nature, and has been an absolute pleasure to have in foster care.
Denzie has shown no signs of food aggression and has been very easygoing in the home. He already knows basic commands like sit and lay down, and while we're still working on his recall, he's eager to please and learns quickly.
He is a lovely walking companion who enjoys strolling right by your side. When he spots squirrels or cats, his natural instinct is to pull, but he redirects easily with gentle guidance and quickly settles back into pace.
Denzie can be a little nervous when meeting new people and preters to take a moment to assess the situation before warming up. Once he knows you're safe, his affectionate personality shines through.
He has not yet been formally introduced to other dogs, but on walks he has done well seeing them from a distance. He is usually curious and watches them calmly, although larger dogs can make him a little nervous and he'll stay close to his person until they've passed.
Denzie is comfortable in his crate and goes in without any hesitation. He's still learning that being left alone is okay and may cry for a few minutes after you leave, but he settles quickly and usually falls asleep.
We think Denzie would thrive in a home with access to a yard or outdoor space. His favourite thing in the world is sitting on the front porch, quietly watching everything around him. People, dogs, cars... he simply takes it all in with calm curiosity and never feels the need to bark.
