Meet Lou, a handsome 86 lbs 2-year-old neutered and up to date on medical- German Shepherd mix looking for his forever companion home. Lou comes from a farm background, but he's decided livestock work isn't for him,he is firmly not a fan of cattle or big tractor tires, and he much prefers the life of a cherished family dog. Lou is an active, playful boy who loves doing zoomies in the yard, going for walks, riding shotgun in the car, and entertaining himself with durable chew toys and his absolute favorite enrichment: batting around empty milk jugs.

Lou will thrive in a home without cattle or working livestock where he can receive daily exercise, mental enrichment, and plenty of affection. His history with cats is currently unknown, and a dog-to-dog meet-and-greet is recommended to ensure a compatible match with any resident pups. Like many focused working breeds, Lou values his meals and does best having a quiet, private spot—such as his crate—to enjoy his food undisturbed.
