Rocky - Shepherd and Basenji Dog for Adoption in San Antonio, Texas

Meet Rocky, an incredibly friendly, easygoing boy who loves everyone he meets. He is house trained, great with kids, cats, good with other dogs, great temperament.

Rocky has quite the story.
This sweet boy had been living at a construction site alone for a year! Sadly, during that time, he experienced frequent dehydration and high temperatures, which caused painful bladder rocks to form. Thankfully, Rocky was rescued by Friends Fur Life, and Rocky blossomed in foster care. Then those bladder rocks took their toll, making Rocky unable to pee, almost killing his kidneys! He had a long hospitalization and two surgeries to give him a new urethra. Miraculously, Rocky's kidneys bounced right back and he's doing fantastic now!

Rocky walks beautifully on leash and does not pull or react to other dogs, people, or animals. He rides calmly in the car and absolutely enjoys car rides. He is not a barker, not food aggressive, and has a steady, gentle temperament.
