Requirements: None
Preferred: Another dog in the home
Meet Mae Leigh! She is the kind of dog who makes it very, very easy to fall in love with her. She is smart, affectionate, playful, and absolutely obsessed with love and attention. Mae Leigh would probably like to formally request that belly rubs, cuddles, and attention become part of her daily schedule.
This girl is SMART! Mae Leigh is a quick learner with tons of potential. She truly enjoys learning and interacting with her people, so an adopter who wants to keep teaching her new things and giving her plenty of mental stimulation will have an incredible partner in crime. What about cats? She is definitely interested in them! She did well with the kitty in her previous foster home. She occasionally chased him, but it was playful rather than aggressive. In Mae Leigh's mind, she was simply trying to recruit him for some fun! With a confident, mellow cat and proper introductions, she could do well with a feline friend. Another dog? Even better!
Mae Leigh isn’t a big fan of being crated, but she does much better when she has another dog around while her people are away. Because of this, a home with a canine companion could be a wonderful fit for her. Like any young dog, Mae Leigh is still learning the difference between “my toy” and “that looks interesting!” Shoes, cords, and other tempting objects should be kept out of reach while she continues learning the house rules. But what really makes Mae Leigh special is her personality. She wants to be involved in everything! She wants to play, learn, explore, cuddle, and be part of your everyday life. She is funny, curious, expressive, affectionate, and smart enough to keep you on your toes.
If you’re looking for a smart, silly, affectionate dog who wants to be your best friend, Mae Leigh may just be your girl! Apply to meet her today!
