Meet Hugo, a 5 year old, 40 pound sweetheart who is searching for a quiet, understanding home to call his own. Hugo came to us alongside a small dog companion who was quickly adopted, leaving this gentle boy to navigate the shelter environment on his own.

Hugo is very shy and nervous here, and while the shelter has been overwhelming for him, he has shown us nothing but sweetness and kindness. He is a gentle soul who simply needs time, patience, and compassion to feel safe and comfortable again.

We know that once Hugo settles into a calm and loving home, his personality will continue to blossom. He’s looking for adopters who will move at his pace, respect his sensitive nature, and give him the reassurance he needs to build confidence.
