From the foster: Meet Kiwi!
Kiwi is the brave one of the bunch and has happily appointed herself the neighborhood watch. Whether it's the vacuum getting a little too close or something new happening around the house, she's quick to let everyone know! Her confidence helps encourage her siblings to be a little braver too.
She's being fostered with 5- and 7-year-old children, a cat, a Great Pyrenees, and her siblings. She loves playing with everyone and then crashing for a puppy nap once she's worn herself out.
Kiwi is very food motivated and eager to learn, which will make training enjoyable. She learned how to come in the doggy door within 30 minutes of being at her new foster home! She would benefit from a slow feeder because she gets so excited for meals that she tends to eat them as fast as possible.
Like most puppies, potty training is still a work in progress. She's learning that her crate is a safe place to rest and often chooses to nap there with her siblings during the day. She's still working on happily going into the crate when asked, especially at bedtime or when her foster family leaves the house. Once she's inside, she settles quickly and quietly, only waking for a couple of potty breaks overnight.
If you're looking for a fun, confident puppy who's ready to explore life by your side, Kiwi is excited to meet you!

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The shepherd dog breed encompasses a versatile group known for their intelligence, loyalty, and strong work ethic. With a heritage deeply rooted in herding and protecting livestock, shepherds excel at various tasks ranging from obedience and agility competitions to search and rescue missions. Their protective nature makes them excellent family pets, offering unwavering devotion and a natural instinct to watch over and care for their loved ones. In addition to their remarkable abilities, shepherds are often characterized by their distinctive appearance, including a sturdy build, alert expression, and a signature double coat that provides insulation and protection in various climates.
