Lady is a gentle 7 year old German Shepherd weighing about 60 pounds. Don't let her age fool you. She's still sharp as a tack and enjoys everything a younger adult dog does. Whether she's taking her time sniffing along on walks, snuggling with her people, checking in on the kids around her, or relaxing in the yard with her foster dog siblings, Lady is simply happy to be part of the family.
She is fully potty trained, has wonderful house manners, and can be trusted to free roam when left home alone. Originally surrendered from a home in Tennessee where she lived with 10 other dogs, Lady has a natural ability to peacefully coexist with just about everyone. She gets along beautifully with other dogs, cats, and has even been gentle around baby bunnies.
One of Lady's best qualities is how easily she fits into a home. She would be just as happy with first time dog owners as she would with a retired couple looking for a companion without the puppy chaos. She'd also make a wonderful family dog for a home with respectful children. She's adaptable, easygoing, and simply enjoys being wherever her people are. One of her favorite things is stretching out in the yard, keeping an eye on everything around her.
Lady is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and stays current on her monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
Lady is a heartworm survivor and has successfully completed treatment. While her treatment is behind her, staying on monthly heartworm prevention for the rest of her life is essential to keep her healthy and protected.
