Houdini - Shepherd Dog for Adoption in Milford, New Hampshire

Rescued: 2/4/2026
Age at the time of rescue: 5 months
Current weight: 35 pounds

Found tied to our gates one morning, we have no idea how long he sat alone throughout the night. He was so frightened when we slowly approached that he slipped the collar that held him and ran. With nowhere to run, he stayed close, but still too afraid to come closer. We set up a Have-a-Heart trap at at sundown, he we officially part of our Second Chance family. We appropriately named this little fellow Houdini, it seemed to fit his rescue story. Houdini is an active boy who is full of energy and would love a family to finally call his own. He is happy and gets along well with the many rescues at our shelter
