Lady is a seven-year-old Shepherd mix with a warm golden coat, soft dark eyes, and a gentle, quiet presence that stays with you long after you walk away. She arrived at Cobb Animal Services on June 3rd when her owners could no longer care for her, and this sweet, confused girl is now trying to make sense of a world that suddenly looks nothing like home. She is sad in the way that only a dog who has lost everything familiar can be - and she deserves someone who will change that.

Lady is house trained, dog friendly, cat friendly, good with children, and already knows sit and stay - and possibly more. She is a dog who has clearly been part of a home and a family, and all of those good qualities are still right there, waiting to shine again in the right environment. She is sweet through her confusion, gentle through her sadness - and that says everything about who she truly is.

At seven years old Lady is a young senior with so much left to give. She is not a puppy, and she is not a question mark - she is a fully formed, deeply loving dog who simply needs someone to step up and choose her. The adjustment period for a dog like Lady will be real, but the reward on the other side of it is a loyal, devoted companion who will never take a safe home for granted.
