DESCRIPTION
Meet Lily! She is a sweet, loving shepherd mix and is 5 years old and 65 pounds who was rescued from Mexico as a puppy.
Lily is a gentle soul. She is timid at first but warms up quickly to anyone taking care of her. Her favorite thing to do is to stare into your eyes while you stroke her face. She also has a goofy side to her personality, and when she's excited (often about food or attention) her whole body wiggles when she shakes her tail.
Lily loves being able to sit in the sun or by an open door to get a fresh breeze and hear nature sounds. Lily loves walks, but she is also a bit of a homebody and gets tired on long hikes or runs. She doesn't like fireworks, and will try to hide in a closet or pantry if she hears them.
Lily is house trained and knows some basic commands. She is very food motivated.
Lily is spayed, healthy, and up to date on vaccines. She had knee surgery for a torn ACL ligament a couple years ago and recovered well. She had some joint pain for a while, but once she lost weight that seemed to go away.
Lily has been living with two other dogs for most of her life. She has also been with other dogs at dog sitters houses and got along with them. She has not been around children or cats but should do fine with older children!
