Lexie is a smart, affectionate puppy with a great mix of playful energy and snuggly sweetness. Whether she's playing tug-of-war with her dog friends, chasing them around the yard, or climbing into your lap for cuddles after a busy day, Lexie is happiest when she's spending time with those she loves.
Lexie enjoys playing with other respectful dogs and loves a good game of chase or a friendly wrestling match. While she's an enthusiastic playmate, she appreciates canine friends who aren't too rough or overwhelming. She hasn't been exposed to cats or children yet, but because she's still a young puppy, she has every opportunity to be successful with thoughtful, managed introductions and continued positive socialization.
Lexie's story is one of resilience. She came into a Texas foster home after developing an upper respiratory infection at a crowded shelter, where her illness put her at risk of euthanasia simply because resources were limited. Thanks to being welcomed into foster care, she received the treatment, love, and time she needed to recover. Today, she's a happy, healthy puppy who's embracing life and discovering just how wonderful being a dog can be.
Lexie would thrive with an active family that's ready to invest in raising a well-rounded companion. She'll need continued training, socialization, and consistency as she grows, and she'd especially benefit from a basic obedience class. The good news is she's incredibly smart, eager to learn, and loves working with her people.
If you're looking for a puppy who can keep up on adventures, make you laugh, and then curl up in your lap for a cuddle at the end of the day, it seems like you should apply to meet lil miss Lexie!
