To know Sugar's story is to know that there is ALWAYS hope.

Sugar was brought into a high-kill shelter after being confiscated by animal control. Sugar had just "fallen" (likely thrown) from a third story balcony. .

Sugar sustained injuries that were so severe that she could not move her back legs at all. As she lied in the kennel at the shelter, she developed bed sores the size of golf balls. As weeks went by, she began to lose strength in her front legs as well.

The universe told us that this little girl had the passion and determination in her eyes to achieve things that veterinarians said she would never achieve. We pulled her from the shelter.

Two separate veterinarians told us that Sugar would never walk. They said she was paralyzed and obviously had a major spinal cord injury.

We didn't accept that. And neither did Sugar.

Sugar's foster mom did her own research and watched videos that would teach her how to gain strength.

One day, she held herself up.
A week later, she took her first steps.
A couple weeks later, Sugar was running and playing with other dogs.

This girl is one of the most special dogs we have EVER known.

She is now looking for a home of her own. Sugar is around 37 lbs. She is housebroken, crate trained and FULL of love. She's just about 2.5 yrs old.
