Shepherd and Mixed Breed Dogs Available for Adoption in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Ellie might start a little shy, but give her time and she will show her full puppy energy wrapped in the sweetest personality. She absolutely loves her toys and has that joyful, puppy-like energy that makes every day a little better. She is incredibly affectionate (loves giving kisses and cuddles) and friendly once she feels safe, and she truly wants to be close to her people.

At first, she can be a bit shy and cautious in new environments, but with a little patience, positive enforcement and love she blossoms beautifully. Watching her come out of her shell is something really special. She gains confidence more each day and lets her true, smart, loving personality shine.

Ellie would thrive in an active home that can match her playful energy. A house with a backyard would be ideal for her to run and get her zoomies out. She would also do well with another playful dog who can help her burn energy and build confidence.

She is a great walking companion and enjoys getting outside to explore. She is a great walker on a leash. She is potty trained, does well both in and out of a crate, settles nicely once she’s had her playtime. She is not very vocal, making her an easy and peaceful addition to the home!

Ellie is estimated to be one year old and 43 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.
