My Friends at Wayside say:
-I am enrolled in Waifs with Wisdom. This is a program for dogs to learn basic commands and leash walking skills. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session.
-During my time at Wayside, I have enjoyed being around other dogs
- Balls, squeaky toys, rope toys, I love them all!
-I know tons of commands!

My home needs are:
-I have a lot of energy and need an active adopter!
-I need a home with kids 6 years old and older who will enjoy my enthusiasm for life!
-Wayside recommends bringing your children 6-9 years old and younger out to meet me before adoption since I can be nervous around new people and loud noises.
-Wayside recommends you bring your dog to meet me before adoption to ensure we can be buddies.


Greetings, I’m Leon Kennedy! Also known as your 6-month-old future best friend.

I’m a little shy when you first meet me, but beneath the surface, I’m a major goofball. I consider myself the "King of Toys," I love them all—balls, squeakers, ropes, or stuffies! I’m not used to having protectors or people in my corner, so I can sometimes be a little guarded when it comes to my toys. I know with time, and lots of your love, I’ll feel safe enough to let my guard down.

To show just how excited I am when I’m around other dogs, I like to bounce around the yard. Playing with friends is one of my favorite pastimes. To show just how much I love my family, I’l be sure to lean in for lots of pets! Because I have a lot of enthusiasm for life, once I’m comfortable, please make sure to bring any of my future siblings under 9 to meet me before we go home.
