Meet Thor!

Thor is a sweet, people-loving senior who wants nothing more than to be near his humans. He absolutely LOVES attention, pets and affection and is comfortable being handled from head to paw. He’s done well meeting children, too, happily soaking up pets and giving kisses. He can still get excited and jump up for attention, so interactions with younger children should be supervised. Thor also loves being outside and would happily spend hours enjoying the yard if you let him!

Thor does well with other dogs and has comfortably spent time around groups of both large and small dogs. He can get a little too interested in chasing smaller dogs when they’re moving around, so he’d do best without a small dog unless they’re confident and very dog-savvy. He’s still working on his leash manners and can be a strong puller, but he’s already improving with consistency. Car rides can make him anxious and vocal, so his future family should be willing to help him build some confidence and better car manners.

Thor is bonded with his best friend, Ravyn, and these two are looking for their retirement home together. While Thor may seem like the more independent of the pair, Ravyn gives him a confidence boost when navigating new or stressful situations. They balance each other in their own ways! Ravyn is the toy-loving, zoomie-doing member of the duo, while Thor is happiest soaking up attention, exploring outside and joining in on the fun when Ravyn gets him involved.

Thor is an affectionate, social guy with lots of love to give. He may still need a little guidance with his manners, but underneath all that enthusiasm is a sweet senior who just wants his people, his Ravyn, and a home where they can enjoy their golden years together.

Thor is up to date on vaccines and microchipped. They are being fostered in Davis County. Please fill out an adoption application and if you're a good fit, meet + greet can be scheduled. Their adoption fee together is $200. They cannot be separated.

The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
