Bella - Shar Pei Dog for Adoption in Philippi, West Virginia

Bella is a beautiful, 4-year-old Shar-Pei mix. She weighs 43 pounds and is spayed. Before coming to her foster home, Bella spent her days tied to a tree with little shelter. Now, she is so happy to be inside, and is looking for her forever home. Bella is housetrained and crate trained. She does fine with other dogs and children once she is introduced to them, but she can be a bit shy. Just give this girl belly rubs, blankets and toys and you will win her heart forever.

If you are interested in adopting Bella, please click on the Adoption Application link below, or, call the Shelter 304-823-2012 or 304-457-1419. Once we receive your application or call, and call your vet for a reference, we can make an appointment for you to meet her.

The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
