He arrived Saturday, July 11th and is settling into his foster home well. So far, he has proven himself to be one chill dude - napping on the lawn, on the couch, on the floor - all while showing off his cute puppy eyes and smooshy face. Don't let those eyes fool you - he is a happy-go-lucky little guy!
He's a puppy, so he'll need lots of patience and training, but just a look at that face is guaranteed to make it all worthwhile! He loves nothing more than to walk at your feet, play with his brother, and of course, take plenty of naps:)

The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.
