Shar Pei and Terrier Dogs Available for Adoption in Andersonville, Tennessee

🚨ATHENA IS STILL URGENT!🚨

Athena is a beautiful shepherd mix who has lived a rough life. She’s clearly had multiple litters of babies and has now been siting at the shelter for over a month now, and we have been begging for someone to step up to help her. Unfortunately, no one has come. She just keeps getting overlooked.

Athena is spayed and up to date on vaccines, but she is heartworm positive. 😞 She desperately needs a foster to step up so that she can start treatment. She needs to be the only dog in the home, so if you don’t currently have any dogs, you could be her hero.

If you are interested in saving Athena, please go by the shelter anytime during their open hours. She needs out ASAP!

The Shar Pei is a distinctive breed known for their deep wrinkles and blue black tongue. Originally from China, these medium sized dogs are loyal, independent, and protective of their families. Shar Peis have a unique appearance with a hippopotamus like face and a broad, padded muzzle. Their coat can be either horse coat or brush coat, coming in a variety of colors. While they can be aloof with strangers, Shar Peis are devoted companions with a calm demeanor, making them wonderful family pets.

The terrier is a spirited and intelligent dog breed known for its feisty personality and boundless energy. Terriers come in various sizes and coat types, but they all share a common heritage as fearless and determined hunters. These dogs are typically highly trainable, making them versatile companions for active individuals and families alike. With their loyalty and playful demeanor, terriers are beloved for their endless enthusiasm and affectionate nature.
