Oh, those puppy dog eyes will get you! This nearly 8-year-old small setter has the silkiest coat and the cutest freckles across her nose.

Nessa is affectionate and loves to be close to her humans. She gets along well with other dogs and absolutely adores running, so a fenced yard is a must. Generally very calm, she gets a little excited when the leash or food bowl appears, and she'll let you know to hurry up if you're taking too long!

She travels well in the car and does not mind being handled—she's comfortable with lifting, nail trimming, and checking or cleaning her ears and eyes. We aren’t sure how she will react to cats, as she hasn't been fostered with them before.

Nessa is frightened of loud noises, especially thunderstorms. We have found that keeping her close and using a weighted blanket helps to calm her. We are currently working on her leash skills, and a promise collar seems to work best for her. Nessa is a hit wherever she goes!

Nessa has been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has undergone a full blood panel and heartworm testing. She has also been on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee is $650, which includes all her health records.
