Meet Decker – A Tender Heart Just Waiting to Love You!
Hi everyone! My name is Decker, and I’m a handsome little guy who is about 1 to 2 years old and weighs just 17 pounds!
I came all the way from deep South Texas, where I ended up in what Tracy calls a “one-way shelter.” Let me tell you, I am one lucky little boy that she came along and got us out of there! I’m so thankful to have a second chance at finding a family who will love me forever.
Now, I do have a little confession to make. I can have a tiny bit of stranger danger when I first meet someone, but please don’t let that discourage you! You see, I have a very tender little heart, and sometimes I just need a minute to figure out that everything is going to be okay.
But once I get to know you, oh my goodness, you have a best friend for life!
I’m incredibly loving, sweet, and affectionate once I feel comfortable. I get along wonderfully with everybody in my group, and I really am just a precious little soul who wants someone to love and trust.
I may not be the first dog to run and jump into your arms, but give me a little time, and I promise the love you’ll get in return will be worth every second.
Sometimes the sweetest relationships are the ones that take just a little patience to blossom.
I’m ready to leave my past behind and find someone who will see what a wonderful little boy I truly am.
Could that someone be you?
Love,
Decker
