Bailey - Schnauzer and Poodle Dog for Adoption in Bend, Oregon

Bailey came to us when she was bought from a backyard breeder and sadly started showing some very poor behaviors. She was reactive to being picked up and guarded food and toys, sadly the home had 2 young kids who them and mom had taken many puppy bites from her and decided she needed more work and better placement then they could provide. After a couple weeks of work and training she has been making very good progress! She needs someone firm, able to tell her NO and stick to boundaries, there needs to be rules. She will thrive with another equal energy playful dog to also learn from and follow. She will go to an ONLY ADULT home, as she can still throw fits and try to bite but they have decreased and have almost disappeared, they might fully with consistency and boundaries over time with right home. Just because shes cute she will not be going to just anyone we will be extremely picky about where she goes so she gets what she needs as she ages. She sleeps in a crate at night and as needed, will whine/barks but settles down. She can now be brushed and groomed where once she couldn't be without throwing a fit, she can also now be leashes and picked up without biting. We expect adopters to ethier work with a trainer (we are happy to recommend some locally) or we can follow up weekly to keep up her training needs.

*please note: We like to do 2 week Foster to Adopts on adult dogs,so the dogs don't have to move around as much and they can bond and make sure they fit into your home before completion of adoption.*

Dogs adoption fee's will include vet visit/exam, spay/neuter, microchip, blood work up/dental if vet says it is needed, dewormed, up to date on shots (DHPP and Rabies, Bordetella can be done if requested we don't do it normally as we don't have the dogs in boarding, dog parks or high risk locations), Current on 1 dose of flea treatment in case they brought any with them from CA. If anything isn't mentioned please ask.

Adoption fees vary $300-$500 depending on the dog and medical care needed/required. Adoption fee for each dog will be noted in write up.
