Wookie has the looks, the fluff, and plenty of personality to go with them! This handsome guy is gorgeous from head to tail, with a beautiful white coat, coal-black expressive eyes, and those perky ears that seem to be tuned in to everything around him. He's smart, active, and ready for a home that will give him more to do than simply admire how cute he is.

With his people, Wookie is a cuddly, affectionate guy who is more than happy to soak up some love. He's also very food-motivated, and he takes treats so gently that you'll quickly discover just how much that sweet face can learn when there's a snack involved! His previous owner reported that Wookie was completely housetrained. He was even trusted loose in the house overnight without any problems. He enjoys toys and is great at playing fetch.

Wookie has some important needs and is looking for an adult-only home with an experienced adopter who understands dogs, respects their boundaries, and is comfortable providing thoughtful management, structure, and consistency. Wookie has enjoyed walking alongside and playing with a few other dogs at the shelter. However, his previous owner noted that when he sees other dogs while he's on leash, he can get barky and pull toward them. His adopter will need to be comfortable managing him in those situations and committed to continuing his training and behavior work. He'll do best with someone who can recognize what he's communicating, set him up for success, and give him the guidance he needs.

Wookie is probably going to win plenty of people over with his adorable looks, but his perfect person will fall for the dog underneath all that fluff. He's looking for someone dog-savvy, patient, committed, and ready to put that busy brain to good use through walks, training, enrichment, and other appropriate outlets for his energy.
