Moose - Samoyed Dog for Adoption in Bonnyville, Alberta

Moose is an 8-year-old neutered male Samoyed mix! He may not look like a Samoyed, but we promise, once his hair grows back fully, he will look like one then. That being said, his hair will be long, and he will need to be groomed consistently.

Moose is a sweet dog with endless amounts of love to give. All he wants is to be with his favourite person, snuggling with them while watching T.V. He absolutely loves plushy toys and will carry them around like they’re his babies. Moose also likes to go for walks, but he doesn’t like to walk by moving cars; they scare him a bit. He also L-O-V-E-S to be given the good scritches; he will throw his head into your lap, wagging his tail, letting you know how much he loves it.

Moose wants to spend the rest of his life like a retired senior, as that’s what he is. He wouldn’t mind living with teenage kids, and possibly cats. We haven’t tested him with dogs, as he’s been recovering from all his issues, but we can do so upon request. His breed says he wants to be an outside dog, but Moose says he’d rather be a house dog. So, as long as you’re ok with him being your loyal snuggler, he will be happy.

The Samoyed is a friendly and gentle dog breed known for its striking white coat and smiley expression. Originating from Siberia, Samoyeds were originally bred for herding reindeer and pulling sleds in harsh, cold environments. With their playful and sociable nature, Samoyeds make excellent family pets and are particularly good with children. They are intelligent, adaptable, and require regular grooming to maintain their fluffy, weather resistant double coat. Samoyeds thrive on human companionship and make loving, loyal additions to any household.
