Laney - Saint Bernard and Great Pyrenees Dog for Adoption in Sparta, Wisconsin

Meet Laney! Laney is approximately 1 1/2 years old and is a Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees Mix who is looking for a new place to call home!!!


Laney is one of the sweetest, most affectionate girls you could ever meet. Her family originally got her to be a Livestock Guardian Dog, but she proved not appropriate for that life. Laney is simply a people dog who has no interest in working, but instead wants to be a princess pet ;)


Laney lived with 4 other dogs, including small dogs, and did great! She also loves children and has a very submissive and gentle demeanor with dogs and humans. She would love an owner who is interested in having their pet as a largely involved part of their life, as she loves nothing more than being by people, especially outside! She's not hyper, but she's got enough stamina to enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities with you.


Laney was kept as an outside dog in her previous situation, so although she may need time to learn what it's like to live indoors, we think she'll adjust quickly since she likes to be by her family so much. That being said, if you do have an appropriate outdoor kennel set up that you'd like her to stay in while you're not home, we know she'll also enjoy that as long as she's got shelter from inclement weather and access to water. A kennel attached to a garage with a doggy door can sometimes be great for dogs like this! If not, we're almost certain she'll love the couch!


Laney does well riding in cars and is learning how to walk on leash. She would likely benefit from a basic obedience class with her new humans, just to learn some more things, but she does already know sit and comes to her name. She also has the type of personality that could make a great Therapy Animal who visits schools and things!

Laney is now spayed and fully vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200.
