DESCRIPTION
Maisy is a 4 year old, 90 pound Saint Bernard/Great Pyrenees mix. She has the easygoing personality that makes giant breeds so lovable. She's low energy and doesn't ask for much. She wants a comfortable place to relax outside and a family who enjoys the slower pace of life as much as she does.
Living with Maisy is refreshingly simple. She's fully potty trained, doesn't need a crate, and has wonderful house manners. She's the kind of dog people hope their puppy grows up to be. She walks so politely on a leash that it's easy to forget she's there. In her foster home, she lives with many other dogs but naturally gravitates toward the quieter ones. Drama isn't really her thing.
Like many livestock guardian breeds, Maisy is naturally watchful. Life wasn't always kind to her before rescue, so she can take a little longer to warm up to some men. Maisy enjoys a slower pace of life, so we think she'd be happiest in a home where the energy matches her own. She is dog and cat friendly. Kids ages 10+ would be most appropriate for Maisy's chill vibe.
Maisy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly preventatives.

ABOUT: MIXED BREED DOG BREED
The mixed breed dogs, often referred to as mutts, are a diverse and unique group with a blend of different characteristics from various purebred dog breeds. These dogs come from a mixture of lineages, resulting in a wide range of sizes, coat types, and temperaments. While each mixed breed dog is distinct in its own right, they are known for their resilience, adaptability, and often have fewer health issues compared to purebred dogs due to their genetic diversity. Mixed breed dogs make wonderful companions for families looking for a loyal and one-of-a-kind pet.
The Saint Bernard is a large and gentle dog breed known for its loyalty, affectionate nature, and impressive strength. Originating from the Swiss Alps, these dogs were historically used as rescue dogs due to their keen sense of smell and ability to navigate through harsh terrain. With their iconic droopy jowls, expressive eyes, and massive build, Saint Bernards make wonderful family pets, often forming strong bonds with children and adults alike. Their calm demeanor and easygoing attitude make them a favored choice for those seeking a devoted and loving companion.
