Saint Bernard
April 25th
male, extra large, adult

DESCRIPTION

Meet Boog

Boog is a three-year-old Saint Bernard with a big body and an even bigger heart. This gentle giant is full of love and personality, and he's happiest when he's close to his people-preferably with a toy proudly carried around in his mouth.

A few things about him:
A true gentle giant who loves attention and being around his favorite humans
Big couch potato energy-he enjoys relaxing and hanging out with his people
Loves carrying his toys around like prized possessions
Very strong on leash and still learning his leash skills-he may even grab the leash on walks, so he'll need a dedicated owner committed to training
Manners under construction and will do best with an experienced household that can guide him
May need multiple visits to get comfortable and build a bond
Talkative and known to "sing" from time to time
High shedding (he is a Saint Bernard, after all!)
We are still evaluating how he does with other animals
Best suited for an adult-only home or one with teenagers and older

Boog is a big, lovable boy who just needs the right person to help him polish up his manners and guide him through life. With patience, training, and plenty of love, he'll make a wonderfully loyal companion.

Originating from the Swiss Alps, these dogs were historically used as rescue dogs due to their keen sense of smell and ability to navigate through harsh terrain. With their iconic droopy jowls, expressive eyes, and massive build, Saint Bernards make wonderful family pets, often forming strong bonds with children and adults alike. Their calm demeanor and easygoing attitude make them a favored choice for those seeking a devoted and loving companion.
